Social Economic Strengthening

Through vocational training, savings groups, livelihood support, and income-generating initiatives, KMHHU helps communities become economically resilient. By improving financial stability, we reduce stress and promote better mental wellbeing.

The Problem

Poverty and economic instability are significant triggers for stress, anxiety, and depression. Unemployment, job insecurity, and lack of income-generating opportunities leave families unable to meet basic needs, creating chronic stress that harms both mental and physical health. Many vulnerable households lack access to training or financial resources that could improve their livelihoods. Without intervention, economic hardship perpetuates a cycle of poor health, reduced productivity, and dependency, preventing individuals and communities from achieving stability and long-term wellbeing.

Our Approach

KMHHU tackles economic triggers of poor mental health by providing vocational training, savings groups, and livelihood support tailored to community needs. We help families develop income-generating skills, build financial resilience, and improve their capacity to meet daily needs. By addressing both economic and mental wellbeing together, our programs reduce stress, restore dignity, and empower individuals to take control of their future. This integrated approach strengthens household stability, fosters independence, and promotes healthier, more resilient communities capable of sustaining long-term progress.
